The third project of the year called for the creation of a virtual pair of Vans shoes, designed for the charity of our choice. The driving question was, "How does a graphic designed use Photoshop to align a product or artwork with a company's 'brand?'"
The Essential Skills tested (in addition to the Habit of Mind of Connection) were the following:
EKS #1 - I can create works of art that are thoughtful and made well.
EKS #2 - I can explain the difference between Raster and Vector images and the factors that determine whether an image will print well.
EKS #6 - I can define the properties of color and explain how to modify colors, both digitally and traditionally.
EKS #9 - I can understand professional practices such as interpreting the ideas and concepts of the client or target audience.
